An Old Country Home Updated in a Farmhouse Style

We've been busy the last few months working on a little project in the heart of Pointe Coupee Parish. Life seems to slow down as you drive past all the sugar cane and soy bean fields on the way to this little jewel. It sits on a quiet little street across from a big soy bean field. This house is one of my favorite projects that we have done over the years. It may not seem like an extravagant, exciting project, but for some reason I just love everything about it. When we first started this project, it reminded me of an old grandma's house. It screamed, "I want a farmhouse update"! I know some people think that the farmhouse style is played out, but the setting and character that this home already had, made it perfect for a modern farmhouse look. I love it when we can take a little bit of the old, and a lot of new and make something so clean and classic, so that someone else can take it and make it their own. This is going to be a great little home for someone!
